PEP is the parent-teacher organization at Central High. It stands for Parents, Educators and Pupils.
PEP was organized in 1979 (Prior to then it was a PTA) to support the superb academic tradition at CHS. We invite and encourage parents to become involved through PEP with their student's high school life.
Meetings are open to all and are typically held at 7:30 pm on the second Monday of most months in the vocal music room 145 at Central. There will be no December meeting 2002.
Involvement in PEP means that you will know what's going on at school. As you already know, one of the best ways to help your student be successful is to take an active part in his or her daily life. PEP is a great way to support your child and be involved in the most important thing in his or her life right now---school.
All volunteer assistance is welcome and appreciated, whether you wish to take a major or minor role. Maybe you just want to come to PEP meetings to become informed, meet other parents, or discover new things about your child and Central High.
If you have questions or would like to help with a specific PEP activity please contact Co-Presidents Wendy and Bernie Monbouquette at 556-8762 or firstname.lastname@example.org
We raise funds for PEP's operating budget through four main activities:
PEP also sponsors an annual scholarship fundraiser. Funds from that activity are divided three ways to support:
We need your expertise and help to complete many of the annual projects PEP undertakes. Here is a small sampling of PEP projects:
