Oversee Scholarship
Endowment Fund. Utilize interest generated from this Fund to award
Scholarships to CHS seniors each year. Scholarships to seniors
from this fund alone (through 2004) total $187,666!
Assist groups under
our umbrella (Alumni Association, VOICE, PEP Auction, Band Parents,
Athletic Boosters) with
administrative and accounting functions, project support including
fundraising efforts.
Purchased computers
and special software to track and maintain database of over 45K CHS
constituents.
Utilize database to
keep Central’s name alive. Create awareness of events, needs, good
news stories. Invite constituents to events, thereby increasing attendance, sense of community,
income for Central and to group(s) hosting event(s).
Design and maintain
CHS Foundation website for the Foundation and all groups also supporting
Central.
Preserve the
history of CHS through website “Memories”, track relationships
utilizing the software, gather media information regarding constituents, obtain and log historical artifacts,
etc.
Assist all reunion
groups with contact information for classmates. Provide address
updates, mailing labels and bulk
mail capabilities.
Relieve CHS
administration of various tasks, such as individuals looking for
genealogy/family information, former classmates, old friends.
Maximize efforts of
volunteers, whose numbers are dwindling and harder to come by.
Provide CHS with funding for teacher grants, computers, technology and other learning
enhancements for various departments.
